SALLY GIVES UNEXPECTED READING FROM OUR BOOK
Yesterday (Weds 11th Nov 2015), Armistice Day, saw a good reception to the readings carried out by Sally, Dorothy and Sarah.
These readings were carried out as part of the ‘Art of Aging’ project at the Whitechapel Idea Store.
After an hours hanging around when the start time for our session was delayed, the readings were greeted with applause and laughter by the around 40 strong audience.
Although we were unable to do our full presentation due to a time slot shorter than we would normally use, the readings were well received, and they were followed up by a healthy purchasing of the book,( which, ironically, cannot be borrowed from the Idea Store network due to their restricted supplier policy,) with Dorothy and Sally doing book signing of those purchased.
There were also other speakers from various courses there as part of the event, who were also well received.
We are also hopeful that we may have recruited a couple more future writers to add to the team.
