THE HUMAN LIBRARY + SALLY FLOOD = MORE BOOK SALES
I went with Sally Flood, as a stand-in for Sarah Ainslie, just to help her with any possible sales of our book following her attandance at an event known as the Human Library.
This was an interesting and unusual few hours. Just as you would borrow a book from the library, here you borrow a person for a few minutes, have an interesting chat with them, and then move on to the next human book.
The organisers had pre-arranged some of the true characters from the world of fashion and it’s history, one of which was our Sally Flood.
As Sally was involved, the organisers had agreed to let us have a small stand for the sale of “Tales by Eastenders”. Although this wasn’t strictly within the parameters if their concept, it did work in well, and added that touch of variety.
We hadn’t expected much in the way of sales, but with Sally talking about the book in her chatting sessions, and a little spiel from yours truly, we sold out, and could have sold several more.
Well done Sally.
Altogether I took over 100 photographs of the function. I will arrange a slideshow of around 40 of these below to show you.
Your system may take a minute or two to load the slide show.
Enjoy the show! (you will require Java Script capability to view the slide-show which most systems have)
